Hi, I’m Danielle Baker.
I was born and raised in Laguna Beach, California, in a family where creativity and entrepreneurship were simply part of everyday life. Growing up with bohemian, entrepreneurial parents—including a Native American art gallerist— I was surrounded by art, interesting people, beautiful objects, and homes that felt collected rather than decorated. For more than 20 years, I’ve carried that influence into my own design practice, creating residential interiors throughout Southern California with an appreciation for timeless materials, thoughtful details, and homes with a genuine sense of character.
Post Covid, I was a Lead Designer at Giannetti Architecture and Interiors for five years, working under the ownership and creative direction of Steve and Brooke Giannetti. There, I was deeply involved in the design and development of high-end, ground-up custom residences, collaborating with architects, builders, artisans, and trades from concept through construction. Along with my freelance work with custom home builders, that experience gave me an invaluable understanding of the construction process and shaped the way I approach projects today—not only envisioning a beautiful home, but understanding how to carry that vision through the hundreds of decisions required to bring it to life.
While my work isn’t defined by one signature aesthetic, it is guided by a very clear philosophy: I don’t believe your home should look like me—I believe it should look like you. My role is to uncover what you love, refine it, and bring it together in a way that feels beautiful, cohesive, functional, and uniquely personal.
Because the best design style is a sense of home.
My Approach
When I begin working with a new client, my first priority is simply getting to know them — how they live, what they love, and what makes them feel most at home. I believe the best spaces are created through genuine collaboration, where ideas are shared openly and thoughtfully. My role is to translate those conversations into environments that feel layered, comfortable, and quietly beautiful. Together, we shape a home that reflects not only a client’s personal style, but also the life and memories they hope to build within it.

Build it
This is where the vision becomes real. I coordinate with builders, artisans, and trades to ensure every detail is executed with care and clarity. Through thoughtful planning, communication, and oversight, the design is translated into a finished space that feels seamless, intentional, and true to the original vision.
