We are honored to be working with a growing roster of clients in the Pacific Palisades, contributing thoughtfully to the restoration of this beloved community. While rebuilding, our focus remains on preserving individuality—ensuring each home reflects the character of its owners rather than creating a uniform, master-planned landscape.
This new build, being recreated after a total loss in the fires, is envisioned as a modern interpretation of a New England farmhouse — a style we affectionately call the “Cape Barn.” Through layered wood wall details, industrial materials, and a neutral palette accented with deep, inky blues, the home is being crafted with instant patina and quiet character, creating the illusion of a residence that has gracefully stood for generations.

After losing her longtime home in the Palisades fire, our client made the meaningful decision to reinvest in the community she loves—using the opportunity not simply to rebuild, but to thoughtfully reimagine what her home could be.
The new design dramatically improves upon the original footprint, adding both a full basement and a charming crow’s nest that increase the home’s usable square footage by more than half. An entirely reconsidered floor plan creates better flow, functionality, and connection throughout, while allowing the architecture itself to become an integral part of the interior experience.
Inspired by an elevated Modern Dutch aesthetic, this home embraces timeless design over passing trends. Applied mouldings, carefully considered architectural details, bespoke cabinetry, layered materials, and custom touches throughout will give the house a sense of permanence and character—as though it has evolved over time rather than simply being newly built.
At a moment when much of the neighborhood is being rebuilt, the goal is to create something distinctly its own. Rather than following the familiar new-build farmhouse formula, this home will pair striking curb appeal with warmth, craftsmanship, and interior charm—an elegant and sophisticated respite in the city, and a deeply personal next chapter in the Palisades.

Although this downtown condo survived the fires, extensive smoke damage required a full interior renovation. Longtime homeowners with deep roots in the community embraced the opportunity to thoughtfully reimagine their residence, honoring the years of history within its walls while updating it for the next chapter.
The redesign introduces a modern colonial sensibility that aligns more closely with the building’s exterior architecture, blending classic proportions with fresh finishes and contemporary comfort. The result is a renewed home that feels both familiar and forward-looking — a reflection of resilience, continuity, and quiet elegance.

With the project being developed for sale, the design approach required a careful balance of creativity, cohesion, and budget. Every selection is considered through the lens of the local market—prioritizing materials and finishes that feel elevated and current while remaining appropriate to the overall investment in the home.
